Grant Management Software Helps Agencies and Fund Recipients Meet New Federal Reporting Requirements

forrester-1.pngOct. 7, 2014 (Cleveland, Ohio)—StreamLink Software, a software as a service (SaaS) technology provider, was recently cited in Forrester Research, Inc.’s September 2014 “The DATA Act: One Small Step For Data, One (Potentially) Giant Step For Accountability.”

The report highlights the current state of the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act), and how federal agencies can lay the groundwork for compliance with a readiness plan. StreamLink Software was one of six vendors interviewed, and was cited among as a grant lifecycle tool providers that “already have a close eye on the new reporting requirements.”

StreamLink Software actively supports the DATA Act and other open data initiatives, particularly as they relate to federal grants, recipients and sub-recipients. It recently sponsored Data Transparency 2014, an open data conference presented by the Data Transparency Coalition. Company representatives also participated in the Treasury Department’s Data Transparency Town Hall meeting on Sept. 26.

“DATA Act implementation presents numerous benefits, as well as compliance and information management challenges for agencies and fund recipients,” said StreamLink Software CEO Adam Roth. “Our grant management software, AmpliFund, can help organizations establish the processes needed for compliance. We’re committed to staying abreast of developments at the federal level, so that we can build the best possible product for our customers—now and in the future.”

The DATA Act, which was signed into law May 2014, mandates the creation of standard data requirements for federal award reporting, so that information can be aggregated, reconciled and published. Implementation is expected to bring government-wide transparency and budget accountability improvements.
